Over the past six weeks, children grades 1-4 have enjoyed the popular after school class Painting the Masters. Taught by Janet Hopkins, this art history-based studio class teaches students the basics of painting while using the Gibbes collection as a tool for learning. Students also have the opportunity to venture outdoors in search of artistic inspiration.

It’s not too late to join the fun—the next session of Painting the Masters begins October 27th.  For more information and to register for the class, click here or contact Rebecca Williams at (843) 722-2706 x41, [email protected]. All classes are held at the Hazel Parker Community Center at 70 East Bay Street.
