Julius Pringle

Artist: Tooley, James, Jr.
Date: 1844

The miniature may have been painted in connection with Pringle's courtship of Sarah Ashmead, whom he married later in 1844. Pringle is a handsome, even suave young man, according to Tooley's portrait.
