Society 1858 is collaborating with the Southeastern Wildlife Expo for a behind-the-scenes evening of art at a private home in downtown Charleston. Artist Peggy Watkins is a professional sporting and wildlife artist residing in the Holy City. She began drawing animals at a very young age, but in 2003 was invited to attend a quail hunt in South Georgia and fell in love with the intensity of the bird dogs in action. Since that time, she has focused on sporting scenes as well as African wildlife depicted from her time in the field in the wild bush country of Zambia. Peggy will share her work and experiences with the group.

Each participant will receive a badge to attend the SEWE Fine Art Gallery at Charleston Place during the festival, February 15—17.
