Mary Jackson is an internationally-recognized master of sweetgrass basketry. A recipient of the MacArthur Fellowship in 2008, and many awards since then, Jackson's work is in major collections around the world and is prized by collectors and scholars alike. Jackson will demonstrate the Gullah tradition of sweetgrass basketry, one of the oldest art forms of African origin.
