With an aim to create meaningful connections between people separated by distance and difference, Shared_Studios brings communities together in immersive spaces to talk, dance, play, and collaborate as if in the same room.

Enter a shimmering gold portal during open hours or for a speci?c program (location and programming to be announced) and ?nd yourself transported to Dakar, Senegal—near the birthplace of Omar Ibn Said 250 years ago—interacting with members of a community more than 4,000 miles away. Presented in partnership with Spoleto Festival USA.

This event is an official selection of Charleston 350.
