Women's Council Welcome Back Meeting

Due to projected forecasts for Hurricane Irma, this event has been cancelled and rescheduled for September 28.

Members of the Women's Council and potential members are invited to join us for wine and appetizers as we welcome a new year for the Women's Council!

The Gibbes Women’s Council, formed in 1950, was the first auxiliary group at the Gibbes. Today, its membership is over 130 strong, and the group is governed by a Board of eight members, elected from its membership for a two-year term.

Members of the Gibbes Women’s Council are encouraged to donate their time, talents, and financial support to the Gibbes Museum by volunteering for various events and programs that benefit the Gibbes Museum and support its mission of enhancing lives through art. To that end, the Women’s Council plans a major fund raising event each year, entitled the Art of Design, for which all members are encouraged to volunteer and attend. Additional volunteer opportunities are available through Gibbes Women’s Council Committees and Gibbes Museum functions.
