Dr. Robert Pringle, Jr.

Pringle studied medicine in Edinburgh, Scotland and later practiced as a physician in Charleston. He was active in the importing business for a few years, and then planted cotton and rice in Colleton County, just outside Charleston. In 1792 he became a surgeon of the Colleton County Regiment during the American Revolution.
