Still bearing its Fraser Gallery label, this miniature of a young child is number 62 in the checklist. It may depict one of Fraser's nieces or nephews, and could be a posthumous likeness, which may help to explain certain awkward elements, including the pose and the unusual mustard tones. Whether the inclusion of the rose the traditional symbol of love or martyrdom is symbolic is not clear.
