Mrs. William Alston (Mary Brewton Motte)

Fraser's miniature is one of several careful copies of Samuel F.B. Morse's oil portrait of ca. 1820. As with most of Fraser's copies it is very close to the original. In turn, Thomas Sully used Fraser's miniature for a version he painted on canvas in 1846.
