This locket houses two portraits of Susannah Drayton: one as a young girl of around 10 by Henry Benbridge and another as a young woman in her early twenties attributed to Pierre Henri. An inscription around the edge reads "Susannah Bowles obt 29th Novr 1801 ae 24 ys/Beloved in life, lamented now in death." A beautiful braid of her hair framing her image completes this memento of a lost loved one.
