Ephraim Mikell Seabrook

Seabrook entered the College of New Jersey (Princeton) as a sophomore in 1820 and graduated with the Class of 1823. A resident of Edisto Island, he wrote the History of the Episcopal Church on Edisto Island. He was a member of the Secession Convention. According to tradition, the miniature was painted while Seabrook was at Princeton. It is a simply and carefully painted likeness.
