Class Canceled. Learn to translate your abstract visions into wonderful abstract landscapes with artist Cory McBee. This studio course introduces and teaches how to create works of art using the acrylic medium with an emphasis on composition, color, shape, movement, and texture. The class will include demonstrations, activities, individual attention, and group critiques. Paint Colors: Titanium White, Cadmium Red Light, Ultramarine Blue, Cadmium Yellow Medium, Cadmium Yellow Light, Alizarin Crimson, Hookers Green, Cerulean Blue, Thalo Blue (Any additional colors you would like. Consider your palette and if you have a particular place you would like this to hang)
Variety of brushes ranging from 2” to detail, including Rounds, Flats, Filbert, and Angular Shader; Palette Knife (variety of sizes if so desired)
Vine Charcoal
Kneadable Eraser
Pen or pencil
Notepad for notes
Reusable Cloth or Paper towels for Cleaning Brushes
Container for water; Reusable palette or disposable palette paper (9 x 12)
Canvas: Gallery wrapped primed cotton canvas, Size choices: 20 x 20, 16 x 20, 18 x 24 Optional: Workable Fixative (if you are going to play with mixed media); Sketchpad for ideas and concepts if desired; Artist Color Wheel (if you are not confident in color mixing); Additional canvas if desired
