An Evening of Tableaux Vivants

French for “living picture,” join us for an evening of entertainment and delight as local theater designers, actors, and performers take inspiration from our permanent collection and the temporary exhibition Something Terrible May Happen to mount a series of tableaux vivants. Popular in the nineteenth century, tableaux vivants are live recreations of scenes from art, combining elements of theater, performance, and the visual arts.
