Class meets on Tuesdays, January 30, February 6, 13, 20, 27, and March 6 from 10am-1pm. How do artists “see” so many colors in the marsh, or the sky, or in a simple white flower? Join artist Tammy Papa and learn how to “see” color like an artist. Students will go beyond blue skies and green grass to bring color to otherwise humdrum pastel paintings. $300 Members | $350 Non-Members Suggested Supplies: Good set of pastels or a selection of soft pastels (some good brands are Grumbacker, Rembrandt, Schmenke, Senneilier, and Great American); small white plate, bowl, or container; sanded pastel paper; #4 oil brush or other bristle brush; drawing board or foamcore board; small sketchbook (4 x 6 inches); kneaded eraser; optional supplies: set of gray markers (like Prismacolor 107, 105, 102, and/or 100), masking tape or artist's tape, towels, rags or paper towels, baby wipes, apron or smock Supplies can be purchased at Artist & Craftsman Uptown located at 981 King Street.
