Creating Supernatural Characters and Stories: Illustration Workshop with Clare Pernice for ages 8-11

CLASS FULL Saturday, October 31, 10:30am-12:30pm Young artists will learn about creating supernatural characters and stories while developing their own unique illustration style in this special Halloween edition of our Illustration workshop. Each workshop will build on understanding characters and how illustrators find inspiration using different drawing prompts, storyboards, and art materials. At the end of each workshop students will have experienced drawing different characters and mini story ideas. They will also gain a fun and safe experience talking about their characters with the group. All materials are included. This workshop is taught by professional picture book author, illustrator, and instructor Clare Pernice. Costumes are welcome as long as the students can still work in them. $55 Members | $65 Non-members
A 3% credit card fee will apply. Other workshop dates with Clare Pernice are on Saturday, September 12 from 2-4pm and Saturday, November 21 from 10:30am-12:30pm. Each workshop has a slightly different focus, so join us for all three! Please note: Keeping the safety of our students, teachers, staff members, and their families at top of mind. This class has a limited capacity to maximize social distancing. There will also be limited shared art materials and increased cleaning of the classroom space. All students, teachers, and staff must wear masks or face coverings.
