In Body and Soul: The Figure in Modernist Photography join us for a virtual lecture by State University of New York New Paltz Lecturer
Beth E. Wilson. Through the work of intrepid photographer Margaret Bourke-White, Wilson will discuss the role of Life Magazine in inventing the photojournalist as a romantic ideal and cultural phenomenon during World War II.
This event is a part of a three part lecture series where scholars from across the country will put contributions of the lensmen and lenswomen who defined photography in the 20th century into bold, new contexts.
