Fellows Member Virtual Event: An Evening with Jonathan Green and Richard Weedman

All Fellows will gather virtually for cocktails with acclaimed artist Jonathan Green and his partner and studio director, Richard Weedman, who over the last 40 years have amassed a significant collection of 20th and 21st century American paintings, sculpture, and works on paper. The collection, which will go on view at the Gibbes in August, expands the traditional notion of American art and identity, embracing a Pan American approach that goes beyond the United States to include art and artists of African, Caribbean, and Latin American descent. In addition to Green’s own work the collection highlights include works by such notable artists as, Jacob Lawrence, Elizabeth Catlett, Romare Bearden, David Driskell, Sam Gilliam, Ruben Gonzalez, and Reynier Llanes. Bring your own beverage and apps to join in the fun! The program will be presented on the ZOOM platform, and the link and instructions will be sent to registrants the day prior to the event.
