Gibbes on the Go: Landscapes of the ACE Basin

May 19, 2020 @ 12:00 AM

Gibbes Museum of Art

Strategically positioned around the Ashepoo, Combahee, and Edisto rivers, the ACE Basin watershed is one of the largest areas of undeveloped wetlands/uplands ecosystems remaining on the Atlantic Coast. Deeply rooted in America's heritage, hunting, trapping, and fishing remain a traditional outdoor pastime in the area. Join expert guides Virginia and Dana Beach, and Steve Gavel, to explore the interlocking web of ecosystems and observe demonstrations of plein-air painting techniques by artists from Horton Hayes Fine Art. This event is CANCELED until further notice in accordance with current public health precautions.
