Hand Loom Weaving with Visiting Artist Crowell A Pate IV, Ages 14 and up

Class meets on Wednesdays, March 1, 15, and 22 from 5-8pm. Learn techniques of creating a woven art piece on a hand loom. These techniques will look to pull away from the traditional aspects of weaving for utility and push toward production of a non-objective piece of art. Learn the basics of attaching the warp threads to the loom and interweave weft threads. Focus on artistic expression and less about functionality.
