Class meets Saturday, June 24 from 10am-3pm.This class provides an introduction to painting portratis. Participants will understand the planes and dimensions of the face, understanding the tilt, inclintation and rotation of the head and learn to observe the nuances of individual features. Various flesh tones and painting from a model will be explored. Individuals with good drawing skills are encouraged.

Artist & Craftsman at 981 King Street.Suggested supplies: 16x20 gesso oil primed streched canvas, odorless turpentine, walnut or linseed oil, medium diamond palette knife, rags, small trash bag, small folding table (optional but recommended)Brushes (1 each): bright 1" and 1/2" belly; filbert 3/4", 1/2", 1/4", and 3/8", belly round sable no 1, fan brushOil paint: Transparent red oxide, Ivory black, Yellow ochre, Titanium white, Winsor Red or Vermillion, Naples yellow, Chromium oxide green, Cadmium orange, Cerulean blue, French ultramarine blue, Burnt sienna, Burnt umber, Dioxazine violet, Quinacridone rose
Remember that paint can be messy, so wear painting clothes or bring a smock.
