Hone your painting skills with artist
Mary Hoffman for the studio by painting outside. Using oil paint, students will learn about light and temperature including a focus on composition, value and color theory. The class will include instructor demonstrations followed by individual instruction throughout the day. Painting in the outdoor elements is an excellent way to learn to "see" what working in the studio can't show you. Some experience with oil painting is suggested but not necessary to sign up and participate. Using the Gibbes Museum as "Home Base," we will be painting on location around the Gibbes property and in the surrounding neighborhoods. Limited spots available.
$350 Members | $400 Non-Members
