
Silver Workshop, Ages 14-18
Class CancelledKick off your spring break with some new skills! In this introductory workshop with JoAnn Graham, students will learn the basics of silversmithing and will leave with a unique piece of jewelry for their own collection. All materials included, but students are required to bring a bagged lunch. Students must wear closed toe shoes and work clothes and have long hair pulled back.
Course Expectations:
Student sill learn to: saw, file, drill, forge, and solder sterling silver
Student will be able to complete forging sterling silver wire and sheet to complete a bangle and pair of earrings.
Student will be able to relate to sterling silver exhibits, currently on display at Gibbes Museum, as related to smithing techniques used in class.
