July 8—11 (M-Th)
Inspired by
Black Refractions: Highlights from the Studio Museum in Harlem, campers will explore their identities through three fun and engaging themes.
You in Bold will focus on powerful portraits from the exhibition. Campers will experiment with playful and unexpected backgrounds and draw inspiration from the work of Kehinde Wiley and Barkley Hendricks.
Using Color to Speak looks at abstract watercolors and collages as forms of self expression, inspired by Norman Lewis' painting and the multidimensional art of Wangechi Mutu. Finally, with
Collagraph Printmaking, campers will construct plates from which to create printed images while learning how the photographic and quilted compositions of Dawoud Bey and Faith Ringgold highlight identity, community, and composition.
1pm—4pm: $130 Members | $150 Non-Members
