Join Fallon Peper, Teaching Artist with the Gibbes, for fun, interactive 45-minute sessions for ages 6-10. Each morning will focus on a different artist and style and will keep your young artists' creativity flowing. Ms. Fallon also infuses different topics like math, science, and history into the lessons.
All workshops will take place in private zoom sessions from 10am-10:45am moderated by the Gibbes. Participants will receive call information the morning of their session. Registration is for a single session, so pick the days and lessons that work best for you.

Pop Art and Roy Lichtenstein (Math infused lesson)Supply list: Tempera paint or similar; plastic palette (or plate); small paint brush; water; paper towels; cotton swabs; mixed media paper (9x12in suggested); tracing paper (computer paper or watercolor will work as well, tips for tracing in the workshop); pencil; white construction paper or card stock; black permanent marker; large picture of kid's face (to trace for project)
The Vibrant Lowcountry (Science infused lesson)Supply list: Tempera paint or similar; plastic palette (or plate); big paint brush; water; paper towels; mixed media paper (18x24in suggested, but you can work in any size. For a larger project, try the side of a cardboard box)
Monet en Plein Air (History infused lesson)Supply list: Tempera paint or similar; plastic palette (or plate); medium-sized paint brush; water; paper towels; clipboard or outdoor easel (you can improvise with any hard surface and tape the paper down); mixed media paper (9x12 suggested) or canvas panel
Van Gogh's Sunflowers (Science infused lesson)Supply list: watercolor paints; paint brush; water; paper towels; watercolor paper (16x20in suggested but any size will work); sunflowers (or any flowers) in a vase
Life in Charleston featuring Romare Bearden and Mary Whyte (Social Studies infused lesson)Supply list: watercolor paints; paint brush; water; paper towels; mixed media paper (9x12in suggested); old magazines to cut up (especially those about the Lowcountry!); scissors; glue stick
