Carey Morton

Carey Morton was born in Greenville, South Carolina. He received his Bachelor of Fine Arts from Winthrop University and his Master of Fine Arts from Clemson University. Morton worked in the collaborative public art field where he utilized metal fabrication and blacksmithing skills to create sculptural works. Morton’s theatrical sculpture installations have been exhibited at several universities and galleries throughout the Southeast, including Artfields in Lake City, SC, and at Redux Contemporary Art Center in Charleston, SC. Morton maintains an active studio while serving as adjunct professor of sculpture at College of Charleston. His residency is in partnership with the College of Charleston School of the Arts.
