Yvette Dede is a New Orleans-born multi-disciplinary artist with a focus on drawing and sculpture. She is a first-generation American born to Dutch-Indonesian parents, and her heritage has led her to explore aspects of identity in her work. Her drawings and sculptures have been shown nationally, and she has worked collaboratively with several women artists on site-specific sculptures in U.S. and the Czech Republic. Dede was an artist-in-residence for the Clemson Botanical Garden in 2007. Dede’s residency is in partnership with the College of Charleston.
