Annex Dance Company Pop-Up

Join us in the galleries for a unique experience where local dancers from Annex Dance Company improvise movement inspired by works on view at the Gibbes. From 5:30pm-6:30pm, pop into the Rotunda to see a short performance inspired by art and then visit the galleries to see art in a new way. 

Annex Dance Company is committed to providing accessibility to professional modern dance in Charleston, SC. Under the artistic direction of Kristin Alexander and associate artistic director Julie Clark, the company is rooted in modern dance tradition while pushing the boundaries of movement invention through relationships and intention. Performance, education, and collaboration remain at the forefront of every season by embracing traditional and nontraditional performance spaces, working with dancers of all ages through our residency program and curriculum-based workshops through Engaging Creative MInds, and collaborating with artists of different mediums. 2024-25 marks Season 18 for the company.   www.annexdancecompany.org
