Inspired by our current exhibitions Japonisme in Charleston: Alice Smith and her Circle and Lasting Impressions: Japanese Prints from the Read-Simms Collection, the Gibbes Museum is excited to offer a series of professional development sessions for K-12 educators.

This webinar conducted over Zoom will focus on the value of utilizing primary resources, specifically those from the Charleston Renaissance. In collaboration with Bailey Knight, formerly with the South Carolina Historical Society, this session will highlight some valuable primary resources from the Lowcountry, including works from the Gibbes archives and study collection.

Registrants will be sent Zoom webinar information the day before the event.

FREE for all Educators, but does require advanced registration*

*Upon completing a survey after the program, each registrant will receive free admission ticket to the Gibbes Museum to experience the exhibition in person.

This program is sponsored in part by: The South Carolina Arts Commission, The Jerry and Anita Zucker Family Foundation, The Mark Elliott Motley Foundation, The Post and Courier Foundation, Volvo, and the Gibbes Women's Council.
