Gallery Talk with Susan Klein

The Gibbes presents Coupling, works by past Visiting Artist Susan Klein from August 5-September 11, in the Ruth and Bill Baker Art Sales Gallery.

Susan Klein’s work involves the merging of mixed media paintings and drawings inspired by her sculptural work. Through loose, improvisational handling of materials, Susan creates playful work that results in imperfect structures. This body of work is meant to ensure a full sensory experience. The color and shapes involved often have a taste and touch associated with them in mind. Susan’s work has the ability to shift in purpose and meaning and its power to communicate a multiplicity of ideas at once.
