Hats can define our style, make us radiate happiness, and catch the eye. But what if you made a hat for someone else to describe what you see and feel about in them? In this class with your partner, you will each create a special hat for the other using a basic design while incorporating material elements that make it unique and personal. Join upcoming Visiting Artist Nicole Vanasse to learn about choosing fabrics to tell stories and taking time to learn about each other through making art. Each registration includes one adult and one youth (age 10+).

Participants must bring their own sewing machine per couple, scissors, and pins, and have a working knowledge of their machine (how to thread it, etc.). Some sewing experience is required, but the pattern will be easy to execute. This class can be taken with grandparents/grandchildren, aunts/uncles, parents, legal guardians, or even mentors or neighbors!
