The Gibbes Museum of Art has partnered with The ZD Experience for the P.U.R.E. (Peace, Unity, & Revival through Entertainment) Concert Series. This Valentines special will be Saturday, February 12th and features LaFaye (star of “Simply the Best: A Tribute to Tina Turner.”)

P.U.R.E. Concert Series was created to uplift and send positive vibrations to our creative community and supporters of live music.

About the artist:

LaFaye is an Atlanta born artist who brings a show with her. After taking the Savannah music scene by storm, she has relocated to Charleston bringing her high energy, sultry yet eclectic, high powered vibes. Her biggest accomplishment after relocating to Charleston almost two years ago has been playing Tina in the Charleston Music Hall & ZD Experience production of “Simply the Best: A Tribute to Tina Turner”.

With musical influences that include Whitney Houston, Tina Turner, Al Green, Fantasia Barrino, Prince, James Brown, Nina Simone, Erykah Badu, and more, you are bound to be in for an over-the-top performance. Her stage presence & performances draw the audience in to make them feel that they are apart of every song that she sings.

LaFaye has opened for Lyfe Jennings, Keke Wyatt, Sunshine Anderson, and more and has performed throughout the Southeast & Coastal Georgia areas & across the country.

As an artist, LaFaye is striving to make Alternative Rock-Soul relevant while still honoring traditional Neo-Soul & R&B.

Her main goal is to create timeless, feel good, music that people of all ages & walks of life can relate to & genuinely enjoy.

"P.S., Love Is…" is an intimate look into her personal journey with the highs, lows, and in-betweenness of love.
