Saturday, June 26 from 10am-4pmDiscover the magic of the folded paper hinge to create fun pop-up wonders. Participants will build a range of amazing structures, from clever cards to a multi-layered, accordion-fold diorama within its own hard book cover. There will be a 30 minute lunch break in the Lenhardt Garden, and students are encouraged to bring a bagged lunch or to visit our delicious partner cafe Harken and receive 10% off by showing your Gibbes admission sticker.

Jen Swearington was an artist-in-residence at the Gibbes from February 22 - April 4, 2021. She studied fine art and art history, earning a BFA from Pratt Institute in 1997 and an MFA from the Savannah College of Art and Design in 2000, then spent one year as an Artist-in-Residence at Arrowmont School of Arts and Crafts and has taught workshops at the John C. Campbell Folk School.
