Join teaching artist Janell Walker Smalls on Saturdays for a fun morning of artmaking inspired by artists and objects in Building a Legacy.

Inspired by Margaret Burroughs worked titled The Family, and William H. Johnson's worked titled Southern Family Series, young artists will create a family portrait using watercolor paint and colored pencils. While reminiscing about family, young artists will learn about the influences behind artists’ works.

Materials included, but students can bring one snack (recommended) and must wear a mask or face covering. Class sizes are limited for proper social distancing.

*A 3% credit card transaction fee will apply.

Please note: Keeping the safety of our students, teachers, staff members, and their families at top of mind. This class has a limited capacity to maximize social distancing.
