Kate March is an acclaimed performance artist, choreographer, painter, and poet now based in Charleston, SC. March's art spans the fine art and commercial realms with more than a decade of professional and international experience. She received her BA in Dance from Connecticut College and her MA in Choreography from Middlesex University in London. Currently, she is a PhD candidate at Middlesex University engaged in research exploring female pain and endometriosis experiences through an embodied creative practice. Described by various media outlets as immersive, bold, multidisciplinary and feminist, March explores her artistic voice through live painting performance solos where she creates large scale paintings with her body dancing on the canvas.
During Kate's residency she will be creating 6 large-scale works that will all be part of her final perfomance Nether Space(s) on Saturday, August 19.
