Join the Gibbes at the Avery Research Center for African American History & Culture for a panel discussion that explores Alice Colin's project and the importance of ancestral research as it relates to the health and wellness sector. The panel will be moderated by Associate Curator of Contemporary Initiatives and Visiting Artists, Jordan Brown, and will feature In My DNA SC representative, Amy Jackson, artist Alice Colin, and sitters from the exhibit Shaniequa Washington, Kameela Martin, and Arai Maran.
Guests are encouraged to join in the conversation as we invite them to consider celebrating the diversity within our community while exploring our ancestral connectivity. This program was created in partnership with the Avery Research Center and In My DNA SC, a community health research project launched by MUSC.
