Chef lineup for Street Party

The Gibbes Museum of Art is excited to announce tickets are now on sale for its popular culinary street fair, Gibbes on the Street, on Thursday, April 27 during the museum’s second annual visual arts festival, Art Charleston. Over 25 renowned restaurants from all corners of Charleston will serve their most delectable dishes at the festival held on Meeting Street, transforming this busy thoroughfare into a fully staged event with live music, dancing, an open bar and delicious food. Guests will be captivated by the sights and sounds of this unique event under a beautiful Charleston night sky backdropped by the museum’s Beaux Arts-style building.

Art Charleston is returning from April 26 – 30, 2023, enhancing the cultural landscape through special programs and events that highlight Charleston’s strong and diverse human stories through the visual arts. Art Charleston will continue to inspire and challenge the community to imagine, question, explore and recognize how art pushes the boundaries for all that is possible. In addition to Gibbes on the Street, Art of Design, A Conversation with Beverly McIver, Live at the Gibbes, the Artistic Visionaries Panel and Artisan Fair will anchor the week’s activities.

“We hope this street party will be a source of discovery, fun and overall inspiration for the community,” says Angela Mack, executive director of the Gibbes Museum of Art. “We look forward to celebrating how art pushes the boundaries for all that is possible and the artists behind the extraordinary food in Charleston.”
