Film Screening: Jeff Koons: Diary of a Seducer

November 2, 2016 @ 6:00 PM - 7:15 PM

Gibbes Museum of Art

Enter the world of one of the most celebrated, influential, and controversial artists of our time with a screening of Jeff Koons: Diary of a Seducer.

Jeff Koons’s monumental work Balloon Dog and even bigger floral sculpture Puppy have become iconic. The artist who celebrates the commonplace has tested the boundaries between art and mass culture and continuously challenges the limits of industrial fabrication. Jeff Koons: Diary of a Seducer follows the artist as his first retrospective takes over the Whitney Museum of American Art in New York City, the Centre Pompidou Paris, and the Guggenheim Bilbao, and asks what lies beneath the shiny surfaces. Film is 1 hour 15 minutes.

Free with Museum Admission

Film screening attendees can enter a drawing to win 2 tickets to the Gibbes Distinguished Lecture Series with Jeff Koons on Wednesday, November 16.
